12 Bands of Christmas Website - The 12 Bands of Christmas is an annual event that raises funds for the Children's Medical Center at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Each year since 2001 the event has featured 12 area musical acts performing at the Imperial Theatre in downtown Augusta. In its third year the annual event would increase fundraising efforts with the debut addition of the 12 Bands of Christmas CD averaging over $30,000 a year in funds raised between 2003 and 2007.
December 23 2001 - The 12 Bands of Christmas concert debuts to a sold-out audience at the Imperial Theatre with performances by local bands the Vellotones, Eather, Vagabond Missionaries, the Shark Devilles, Deathstar, Impulse Ride, 420 Outback, Horsepower, Riff Raff Kings, Jemani, the Big Mighty and Redbelly.
December 22 2002 - The 12 Bands of Christmas concert at the Imperial Theatre with performances by local bands 420 Outback, Black Eyed Susan, The Big Mighty, Deathstar, Livingroom Legends, El Dorado Deluxe, Happy Bones, Jemani, Hellblinki Sextet, People Who Must, Neato Torpedo and Redbelly.
December 21 2003 - The 12 Bands of Christmas CD is added to the concert at the Imperial Theatre with performances by local bands Lives of Reily, Daze of Haze, Joe Stevenson, Livingroom Legends, Impulse Ride, Shaun Piazza, the Patrick Blanchard Band, Deathstar, Tara Scheyer and the Half-Shirt Leroys, Turtleneck, the Hellblinki Sextet, and Jemani.
December 19 2004 - The 12 Bands of Christmas CD and concert at the Imperial Theatre with performances by local bands Pedestrian, the Vellotones, Josh Pierce Group, Eryn Eubanks & the Family Fold, Sulcus Groove, John Kolbeck, Pat Blanchard Band, Chelsea Logue, the Shaun Piazza Band, the Cubists, the Redbelly Band, Hellblinki Sextet.
